These are tyres that I use for offroading, so I'm not too bothered about fuel economy, tyre wear, noise and performance. Compared to the stock Jimny alloys and Dueler's, the KL71's are 8kg heavier per corner using the Jimny Lite steel rims, and you can really feel it when accelerating, buuut thats probably due to the tiny 100hp engine. 😆 They're quite loud, especially at 80kmh, but not ear drum killers. Averaging 1.5L/100km more than the stock H/T's, as to be expected. (8.0L/100km overall) As they're a directional tyre, choosing what side your spare should be is a little annoying, but it's not the end of the world if they're backwards for the drive home. Now for the good stuff. They're brilliant offroad! Especially in the mud and clay, they really shine. I'm pretty confident in them to get me to the top, even relying on them to pull a pretty bogged 2.6T Everest out. They're quite a stiff tyre, so even 13psi on a 1.2T Jimny doesn't really deform them at much. I stick with 18psi in the muddy stuff and it seems to work quite nice. Will be buying again for sure 👍

If you want mud tires for the road these might be for you but if you want to air down and get muddy steer well clear. I had 2 tires with 2 different sidewall faults in less than 5000km and I now have a 3rd showing signs of issues. The sidewalls are made of cheese and it makes these tires complete rubbish if you want to go off-road.

Great tyres for the price taken them anywhere you could think of!! Go hard in the wet muddy terrain(never gotten bogged)and rock climbing takes my d22 Navara anywhere! Bog down a bit in soft sand but do well! Air down nicely. Not bad on the road but loose in the wet. Only problem I’ve had is they are unevenly wearing and they are directional so can only rotate so much!! Would definitely buy again!!

Tyres perform great offroad, even exeeded my expectations in sand (beach driving and dunes) but definitely not worth the money for only getting 32,000km out of them before being being borderline bald/illegal. Being a mud terrain with a directional tread pattern I didn't expect them to have a huge life span but did expect to get at least 40,000km before looking for a new set.

I do a lot of Rock crawling most weekend and use my Hilux as a daily and for road use there not to bad a little noisy but that doesn't bother me but what I have found is they don't seem soft enough off-road and for Rock crawling, I find myself having to bounce my way up most things and a lack of traction. Overall they aren't a bad tyre but for my use for crawling I can't give them a perfect 10/10 compared to some of the other tyres out there that seem to find traction better out on the tracks.

Good off road. Loud on highway, but good on streets.

I got the tyres on the car when I bought the car, want to change to something better but its too expensive, so saving up for something better. Ive used Maxxis tyres before on my motorbike, previous landi and all my bicycles. Really would like to have Maxxis again.

Best value mud tyre I've ever run. I was happy with my Toyo Open Country M/TS and my Super Swamper Iroks, but they're double the price. Sidewalls are a little soft, so low pressure off roading can leave you vulnerable to sidewall damage. But I haven't personally experienced this despite running 14-16 psi in them.
